G.O.A.L.S. 2026 brought Gun Owners of America’s yearly summit to the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines on August 1 and 2. The Gun Websites crew drove in for media day, walked the show floor from SilencerCo to the RifleSpeed Red Dawn truck, filmed the trip with a camera drone, and brought Bacon Bit along for the ride.

G.O.A.L.S. 2026 in History

Gun Owners of America was founded in 1976, so G.O.A.L.S. 2026 landed in the group’s 50th year under its long-time motto of No Compromise. The summit combines an exhibit hall of firearms and gear with hands-on training, legal briefings and speakers from across the gun rights movement.

After Knoxville in 2025, the 2026 summit moved to Des Moines, putting it within driving distance of gun owners across the Midwest.

Our Take on G.O.A.L.S. 2026

G.O.A.L.S. is not a trade show and not a gun show. It is a gathering of people who show up to do the work of gun rights: activists, attorneys, trainers and the companies that back them. The exhibit hall has the gear, but the conversations in the aisles are the reason to go.

On the Show Floor

Suppressor makers, gun makers, training outfits and gear vendors filled the hall, from SilencerCo, KIRO and AEGIS to a custom off-road Jeep parked on a red carpet.

The RifleSpeed Red Dawn Truck

One of the stars of the floor was the RifleSpeed Red Dawn truck, a 1977 Chevy K10 Stepside, and the crew got the full tour on camera.

The trip started on the road, filmed with a DJI Neo 2 drone, and Bacon Bit made the drive too. The crew got in early for media day, while booths were still going up across the hall, then spent the show working the floor.

Bacon Bit posed under the GOA banner, made a new friend in a skeleton dog prop wearing a bandana, and helped sort the patch haul once everyone got home.

Patches of G.O.A.L.S. 2026

G.O.A.L.S. is a patch collector’s show, and the haul from 2026 covered a whole desk back home.
