SHOT Show 2026 was the year of drones and robots. The 48th show drew more than 53,000 people from 126 countries and 2,744 exhibitors to the Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum, and opened with a drone show marking America’s 250th anniversary. The Gun Websites crew flew a camera drone over Industry Day at the Range, filmed the drones and robotic platforms that took over the floor, and found the 3rd Point pistol stock and Essential Provisions food packs along the way.

SHOT Show 2026 History

The 48th SHOT Show ran January 20 to 23, 2026. NSSF reported more than 53,000 attendees from all 50 states and 126 countries, 2,744 exhibitors and more than 834,500 net square feet across the Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum, with more than 600 OEM suppliers in the Supplier Showcase.

Policy was on the agenda like never before. The fifth Governors’ Forum hosted seven governors, the third Attorneys General Forum met during the week, and senior federal officials attended. NSSF also held a new Suicide Prevention Town Hall with the Department of Veterans Affairs, and Olympic champion Kim Rhode received the Ken Sedlecky Lifetime Achievement Award.

Our Take on SHOT Show 2026

Unmanned systems were the story of 2026. Drones, ground robots and armed robot platforms had moved from a curiosity in a few booths to whole aisles, aimed at law enforcement, military buyers and, increasingly, civilian users. It is the biggest shift in what SHOT Show is about since tactical gear took over the floor in the 2000s.

At the same time, the consumer side kept finding new niches, from pistol stocks to next generation food packs for preparedness, a reminder that the show still serves the shooter and the outdoorsman as much as the agency buyer.

Our SHOT Show 2026 Adventures

Industry Day at the Range opened the week, and the crew put a DJI Mini 3 camera drone in the air to show the scale of the range site, along with raw footage from the shooting lanes. Day one on the floor turned into a drone hunt, followed by a full look at the robots of SHOT Show 2026.

At the end of the week the crew went live to open the swag bag: patches, stickers and show swag collected across four days.
