In November 2018 the Gun Channels.com crew made the trip to Wanenmacher’s Tulsa Arms Show, widely called the largest gun show in the world, and opened a room for members to meet up during the show. The trip came with its own trading card deck, the Tulsa Gun Show Deck, drawn for the occasion, including a card on the story of Soldier Systems Daily.
Tulsa Arms Show History
Wanenmacher’s Tulsa Arms Show started in 1955 as a club show of the Indian Territory Gun Collectors with 19 tables in the old Tulsa armory. Joe Wanenmacher took it over in 1968, when it had 217 tables, and built it into what is widely called the largest gun show in the world, with about 4,000 tables and nearly six miles of exhibits filling the Quik Trip Center at Expo Square twice a year.
Unlike most gun shows, Tulsa draws collectors from around the world, with antique arms, military surplus, ammunition, knives and accessories alongside modern guns, and many vendors book their tables years in advance.

Our Take on Tulsa Arms Show November 2018
Tulsa is the best place in the country to see the whole history of firearms in one weekend. A single aisle can go from flintlocks to modern ARs, and the conversations with collectors and dealers are as valuable as anything on the tables.
